They spend hours licking themselves and, in the process, swallow hair. In most cases, the body eliminates it without difficulty. The problem arises when the amount is excessive, especially during moulting season or in long-haired cats.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Warning signs<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These are the most common symptoms:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udd39Recurrent vomiting or retching<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udd39Regurgitation of liquid with hair<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udd39Loss of appetite or apathy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udd39Constipation or changes in stool<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udd39Frequent coughing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udd39Excessive licking, especially of the abdomen<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If these signs last more than 48 hours, or you notice difficulty defecating or breathing, it is important to see your vet.
